Submission and Publication Agreement
By submitting information or files to WeDriveYouUnhappy.com, you agree to the following terms.
1. You Retain Ownership
You retain any copyright or other ownership rights you legally hold in the original content you submit.
Submitting your story does not transfer ownership of your original written material, photographs, videos, recordings, or documents to WeDriveYouUnhappy.com.
You may continue using, publishing, licensing, or sharing your content elsewhere.
2. Permission to Use Your Submission
To operate the website and consider your story for publication, you grant WeDriveYouUnhappy.com and its site operator a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Store, copy, review, organize, and process your submission.
- Reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and make your submission available to the public.
- Edit, excerpt, format, resize, crop, caption, transcribe, translate, or redact the submission.
- Combine the submission with timelines, explanatory material, public records, company responses, verification notes, and supporting evidence.
- Promote a published story through websites, email, social media, press materials, printed materials, video, and other media.
- Preserve copies for administrative, evidentiary, legal, security, compliance, and archival purposes.
This license applies only to rights you possess and are legally permitted to grant.
The license continues while your content is being reviewed or displayed by the Site. Copies may also be retained after removal when reasonably necessary for backups, recordkeeping, legal compliance, dispute documentation, evidence preservation, or defending legal claims.
No royalty, publication fee, licensing payment, or other compensation is owed unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
3. Your Statements and Promises
By submitting content, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years old or are submitting through a parent or legal guardian.
- The submission concerns your own experience or information you are legally authorized to provide.
- The factual statements are true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have not knowingly omitted information for the purpose of creating a materially false or misleading impression.
- You have clearly distinguished facts, personal opinions, estimates, suspicions, and statements made by other people.
- You have a reasonable basis for the claims you are making.
- Documents and media have not been deceptively altered.
- You own the submitted content or have the necessary permission to submit and publish it.
- Publication will not knowingly violate another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, confidentiality, or other legal rights.
- The content is not submitted for an unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, or malicious purpose.
- You will promptly notify us if you discover that a material part of your submission is incorrect.
Do not represent rumors, speculation, or statements from social media as personally verified facts.
4. Supporting Evidence
Whenever possible, provide documents or other evidence supporting the important parts of your story.
Evidence may include purchase agreements, repair records, communications, photographs, videos, inspection reports, payment records, public records, or statements from witnesses with direct knowledge.
We may ask you to confirm the source, date, authenticity, or completeness of submitted evidence. We may decline to publish unsupported allegations or clearly label them as unverified or disputed.
Do not alter files in a manner that conceals their original meaning. Cropping or redacting information for privacy is acceptable, but you may be asked to provide an unredacted copy for private verification.
5. Personal and Sensitive Information
Do not submit information that is unnecessary to explain or document your story.
Unless specifically requested for private verification, do not submit:
- Social Security numbers.
- Complete bank or payment-card numbers.
- Account passwords or security codes.
- Full driver’s-license numbers.
- Full dates of birth.
- Medical records unrelated to the matter.
- Private information about children.
- Home addresses of uninvolved private individuals.
- Intimate images or sexually explicit material.
- Information protected by a court order, sealing order, confidentiality agreement, or law.
We may redact personal information before publication, but you remain responsible for reviewing your submission and removing unnecessary sensitive information.
You may request that your public story use:
- Your full name.
- Your first name and last initial.
- A display name.
- An anonymous public label.
Even when your name is hidden from the public, the Site may require your actual identity and contact information for verification and administrative purposes.
We cannot guarantee complete anonymity. Your identity may sometimes be inferred from the facts, documents, vehicle information, photographs, legal filings, or responses from other parties.
6. Your Submission Is Not Confidential
Do not submit anything you require us to keep confidential.
Your submission may be reviewed by site administrators, fact-checkers, contractors, legal advisers, technology providers, and other service providers involved in operating the Site.
To verify or obtain a response, we may share relevant portions of your submission with the businesses, insurers, attorneys, agencies, or people discussed in your story. We will attempt to honor your public-display preference, but we cannot promise that your identity will remain unknown to the parties involved.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with a subpoena, court order, warrant, or other legal process.
- Respond to a valid copyright, privacy, or legal complaint.
- Investigate fraud, abuse, threats, or security incidents.
- Protect the Site, its users, or another person.
- Enforce the Site’s rules or legal rights.
7. Editorial Independence
WeDriveYouUnhappy.com determines whether, when, where, and how a submission is published.
We may publish the entire submission, publish selected portions, organize it into separate issues, add editorial context, link related facts, or decline publication.
We may also publish:
- Responses or denials from the businesses involved.
- Documents that contradict or qualify a claim.
- Corrections and updates.
- Information showing that an issue was resolved.
- The amount or material terms of a resolution when legally permitted.
- A statement that a party declined or failed to respond.
Submitting a story does not give the contributor control over the Site’s editorial decisions, layout, headlines, classifications, verification labels, or accompanying context.
8. Corrections, Updates, and Removal Requests
You may contact the site administrator to request a correction, update, or removal.
We will consider reasonable requests, but submission does not create an unconditional right to deletion.
We may retain or continue publishing content when reasonably necessary to:
- Preserve an accurate historical record.
- Document a correction, response, settlement, or resolution.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Preserve evidence.
- Protect legal rights.
- Prevent fraud or manipulation.
- Maintain records concerning prior publication.
When appropriate, we may update a story rather than remove it. Material corrections should remain visible so readers can understand what changed.
Removal from the Site does not guarantee removal from search-engine caches, social-media posts, third-party archives, screenshots, downloads, or copies created by other people.
9. Responses and Resolution Requests
A business or representative discussed in a published issue may use the Site’s designated resolution form to contact the contributor.
The message will be sent to the user who owns the published issue. The site administrator may receive a blind copy for documentation, moderation, and security.
WeDriveYouUnhappy.com provides the communication channel only. Unless expressly agreed in writing:
- The Site is not the contributor’s attorney, agent, representative, negotiator, or fiduciary.
- The Site does not have authority to accept or reject a settlement for the contributor.
- The Site is not a party to any settlement between a contributor and another person or business.
- The Site does not receive a percentage or commission from a contributor’s recovery.
- A form submission does not create a settlement agreement.
- Publication, correction, updating, or removal is not automatically promised in exchange for payment.
Any settlement or resolution must be separately accepted by the appropriate parties in writing.
Resolved matters may be updated to explain what occurred. The Site may preserve the original issue, the company’s response, and the resolution so readers receive an accurate account rather than an unexplained disappearance.
10. We Are an Information Platform
WeDriveYouUnhappy.com is an information and publishing platform.
We are not:
- A law firm or legal referral service.
- A government agency.
- A court or arbitration service.
- A consumer-protection regulator.

- An insurance company or claims adjuster.
- A lender, credit bureau, or consumer-reporting agency.
- A substitute for professional legal, financial, mechanical, insurance, or tax advice.
Information published on the Site is provided for informational purposes. Publication does not establish that a person or business is legally liable, that a crime occurred, or that a contributor is entitled to compensation.
11. No Attorney-Client Relationship or Legal Deadline Protection
Submitting a story does not create an attorney-client relationship or any other professional relationship.
The Site does not represent you and cannot provide legal advice concerning your claim.
Your submission does not:
- File a lawsuit or government complaint.
- Give formal legal notice to another party.
- Preserve a statute of limitations.
- Extend a warranty or appeal deadline.
- Satisfy an insurance notice requirement.
- Preserve evidence held by another party.
- Replace a demand letter, preservation notice, or court filing.
Legal deadlines may continue running while your story is being reviewed. Consult a qualified attorney or the appropriate government agency when your rights or deadlines may be affected.

- You know is materially false or misleading.
- Falsely impersonates another person.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

- Threatens violence or encourages unlawful conduct.
- Harasses, stalks, or targets someone for reasons unrelated to documenting the consumer matter.
- Publishes unnecessary private identifying information.
- Contains malware, malicious code, or deceptive links.
- Contains intimate images submitted without the depicted person’s lawful consent.
- Exploits or endangers a child.
- Violates a court order or applicable law.
- Is submitted in exchange for payment conditioned on expressing a particular opinion.
- Was generated or materially fabricated to create a false consumer experience.
The Site may report suspected criminal conduct, credible threats, child exploitation, or other legally reportable material to the appropriate authorities.
13. Copyright Complaints
Only submit material that you own or are legally permitted to use.
Copyright owners may report allegedly infringing material through the Site’s designated copyright-contact process. The Site may remove or restrict access to disputed content while a copyright complaint is reviewed.
Repeated copyright infringement or abusive submissions may result in account restrictions or termination.
14. No Guarantee of Publication or Results
We do not guarantee that:
- Your submission will be reviewed within a particular period.
- Your story will be published.
- A published story will remain published permanently.
- A business will respond.
- Publication will produce a refund, repair, replacement, settlement, or other result.
- Readers will agree with your position.
- Uploaded information will never be lost, copied, challenged, or disclosed.
The Site and its services are provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Responsibility for Your Content
You are responsible for the content you submit and for the consequences of submitting or publishing it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse and protect the Site, its operator, administrators, contractors, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- Content you submitted.
- Your breach of this agreement.
- Your violation of another person’s legal rights.
- A materially false statement or document you knowingly provided.
This provision does not require you to reimburse the Site for claims caused solely by the Site’s own unlawful conduct or material alteration of your submission.
